HVAC service & repair — New York City

We find the real cause. Not just the symptoms.

AK Apex services, repairs and deep-cleans air conditioning, mini-split and ductless systems across Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and Long Island.

Sound familiar?

Let’s figure out what’s actually happening

  1. 01 The AC only cools the air right around it.
  2. 02 Water is dripping from your mini-split.
  3. 03 The unit smells musty.
  4. 04 Your electric bill suddenly doubled.
  5. 05 Another contractor “fixed” it and the problem came back.

We start by understanding the cause before recommending a solution.

Specialisation

What we focus on

Most of what we do, and the reasons worth calling us about first.

  1. AC deep cleaning

Indoor units, coils, blower wheels and drain lines cleaned properly — not just wiped down and sprayed.

  2. Leak diagnosis & repair

Water on the floor or refrigerant going missing. We find where it is actually coming from before repairing it.

  3. General repair

Diagnostics and repair for air conditioning, mini-split and ductless systems that stopped working the way they should.

  4. Pre-purchase & move-in inspection

Buying or moving in? We check the system before you commit, so what you inherit is not a surprise.

Supporting work

What we also do

Same crew, same standard — usually alongside one of the jobs above.

  • Installation

New and replacement AC, mini-split and ductless equipment.

  • Refrigerant recharge

Topping up or recovering refrigerant after a leak has been located and repaired.

  • Maintenance & service

Seasonal checks and routine service to keep a system from failing in July.

Method

How we work

Four steps, in this order, every time. Nothing gets replaced before we know why it failed.

  1. 01

    Estimate

    We look first, quote second.

We inspect the system, identify the root cause, and give you a clear estimate before any work begins.

  2. 02

    Explain

You hear what is wrong in plain language.

We walk through every recommended repair — what needs attention now and what can wait — so the decision is yours to make with the full picture in front of you.

  3. 03

    Solve

We work in your home like people live there.

Once the plan is agreed, we schedule the service appointment.

Before anyone picks up a tool, the floor gets covered, the rug gets moved and the shoe covers go on.

  4. 04

    Test

    Nothing is handed back untested.

Before we call the job done, the equipment is tested and left running as it should.

If the unit acts up after we have left, we schedule a follow-up visit to get it running again.

The company

Who we are

Homeowners deserve clear explanations, honest recommendations, and a fix that solves the problem instead of hiding it for a season.

AK Apex was founded in 2021 by Kirill Akhrameev, who has worked in HVAC ever since, on exactly that belief. It is still how the work gets done: we would rather spend an extra half hour finding out why a unit keeps failing than sell you a part that buys you three months.

When we are finished, you should be left with air that is clean and cold, in a home that feels like yours again.

Photographs from jobs we have done. Not staged, and not especially pretty — this is what the inside of a neglected system looks like.
